Ice

I have a new found romance with ice. Last winter, while at Sunday River one weekend, I found all sorts of beautiful and remarkable ice structures. I also found my interest piqued. My eyes now eagerly seek out ice, and always take a closer look. The way the crystals form is never disappointing, and often surprising. From lace-like delicacy to bumpy lumps, from clear-as-crystal to veined and blurry, ice is always worth a moment’s pause.
Today on our walk Kaleb and I found some specimens worth taking note of, and I share them here with you.

Here is to finding some icy beauty of your own!
